This initiative was launched by the State Secretariat for Digitalization in 2025 through a public call for proposals. The projects were approved in December 2025 with funding from the European Union’s Next Generation EU funds, part of the Spanish Government’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
Reactiva
They are developing a comprehensive technological platform to assess and treat sarcopenia in older adults using sensors, computer vision, and personalized telerehabilitation. The project is being validated in a clinical study with Hospital del Mar to demonstrate its impact on strength, mobility, quality of life, and patient adherence.
Reactiva Objective
Create a new functional digital biomarker that allows continuous monitoring and therapeutic recommendations based on explainable AI.

Partners and Impact
REACTIVA is a collaborative project that integrates clinical and technological experience. Ephion provides the sensorization layer, a key piece for the precise capture of movement and the generation of the functional digital biomarker.
The solution is validated in a joint clinical study with Hospital del Mar, aimed at demonstrating its real impact on strength, mobility, quality of life and therapeutic adherence of older people affected by sarcopenia.
